Maxtermix (MXM) is a collective that acts as a hub for creatives within the African entertainment ecosystem. With a focus on music, live events, visual media and fashion, the collective has a two-pronged agenda: to help connect cultures within Africa and to act as bridge between Africa and the diaspora.&nbsp;
With cultures across the globe becoming increasingly interconnected, Maxtermix endeavours to spotlight the alternative youth subcultures within African and diaspora which may be otherwise disregarded by mainstream media and platforms. We aim partner with creatives, industry professionals and policy makers &nbsp;to promote African culture to the world.&nbsp;
At the moment, Maxtermix focuses on talent management and development, with the collective housing 7 musicians (artistes, songwriters and producers). In addition to the services rendered to the in-house members, Maxtermix carries out artiste development, event planning, branding and marketing campaigns for other clients. With the strong network that has been built over time, the collective also provides A&amp;R and publishing services to artistes of African descent.&nbsp;
The live event services is a newer element of the collective&rsquo;s operation. In line with our objective of bridging Africa and the diaspora, Maxtermix curates and host live experiences that reflect Pan-African values. At the moment, these events have taken place in Lagos and in the US, with plans for the first UK event being put in place.&nbsp;

Certified Entertainment UK/Kenya are charged with creating experiences and bringing visions to life, an event planner is adept at juggling many tasks. Scouting locations, soliciting bids, managing vendor relationships and client communications, creating and negotiating contracts, and managing budgets are all typical functions in that we as Certified. Ent play a critical role in. Furthermore, we believe in a united Africa and aim to bring together people across the globe through culture, exclusivity and most importantly entertainment.
Our long-term goal as a company is to unite the African population within the diaspora through festivals, concerts and create the necessary conditions for the personal safety of participants and spectators to ensure safe and high-quality events. We also look at introducing a SMART app that will ease the event planning process for not only ourselves but for a event planners all around the world.

Warwick Africa Summit

His Excellency Ahmed Afif is a Seychellois politician and banker who currently serves as the Vice President of the Republic of Seychelles. His Excellency is a distinguished member of Warwick&rsquo;s Alumni and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in MORSE (Maths, Operational Research, Statistics &amp; Economics). After graduating he returned to Seychelles and worked for the Department of Industry and later joined a task force set up in 1994 under the Central Bank of Seychelles to advise the Government on the setting up of an International Business sector for Seychelles. Since that time, he has held numerous government positions in the Department of Finance, the Vice-President&rsquo;s Office and later on the President&rsquo;s Office undertaking various functions including economic policy and day to day running of the Government. In 2005, he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Seychelles International Business Authority and served until 2007 when he was appointed as the Principal Secretary of Finance &amp; Trade. Mr. Afif has served on several Government Boards throughout the years, including Chairmanship of two state Banks, Nouvobanq and the Seychelles Savings Bank. In 2008, he was instrumental in helping Government design and implement a major macro-economic reform involving major fiscal and monetary reforms and went on to serve the Ministry of Finance until 2012. In recent times, His Excellency has been a leading anti-corruption advocate in Seychelles as Vice President, working to ensure better governance for the Seychellois people.

Ready, Set, Green: Our Resources & Sustainability

Dr Kumi Naidoo is one of Africa&rsquo;s foremost human rights and climate justice activists, renowned globally for his unwavering commitment to speak truth to power and challenge injustice everywhere. Kumi, who was recognised in 2013 as one of South Africa&rsquo;s 21 icons, first ventured into activism in his teenage years as an anti-apartheid campaigner where his passionate mass mobilisation and civil disobedience resulted in his expulsion from high school. His relentless campaigning eventually led to numerous arrests and a forced exile to the UK where he spent his time at Oxford University, earning his doctorate in political sociology as a Rhodes Scholar. Upon Nelson Mandela&rsquo;s release and the fall of the apartheid regime in the 1990s, Kumi returned to South Africa and worked on the legislation of the African National Congress. Kumi has held numerous leadership positions in civil society and global organisations, including serving as the Executive Director of Greenpeace International from 2009-2015 and Secretary General of Amnesty International from 2017-2019. In both instances, he was the first African to head the organisations. He is the founding Chair of Africans Rising for Justice, Peace &amp; Dignity, a Pan-African movement of people and organisations, working for justice, peace and dignity and has served as a Global Ambassador for the organisation since 2020
