The Pacific Climate Change Centre (PCCC) is the regional Centre of excellence for climate change information, research, capacity building, and innovation, hosted at the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) in Apia, Samoa. As the Centre of excellence, the PCCC is mandated to provide practical information, support, and training to address the adaptation and mitigation priorities of Pacific Island communities. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The PCCC is underpinned by strong partnerships with Pacific Governments, applied research institutions, donors, civil society, and the private sector. The PCCC is a partnership between the Governments of Japan and Samoa. It is funded under grant aid through JICA for Samoa as the host country of SPREP. Additionally, the Centre receives generous funding and support from the Governments of New Zealand, Ireland, and Australia.

WHO WE ARE
Varysian was founded in 2017 with an objective of enhancing partnership and collaboration between National Meteorological &amp; Hydrological Services (NMHS) and other industry stakeholders, through world-class events, data and research.&nbsp;
Varysian has built on these foundations, to work with partners from across the conservation, environmental and development spheres, creating specialist networks and curating digital events and campuses.

Acting as the hub for a series of real-world and virtual gatherings, the Hydromet Network hosts over 60 events annually and counts over 80% of the global weather and water sector as attendees at its events and members of its digital campus. VARYSIAN 20:20 - events consultancy
Varysian&rsquo;s experience creating close-knit communities based around events, networking and insight has led to a series of external partnerships and the creation of our digital events consultancy, Varysian 20:20.&nbsp;
​Varysian 20:20 serves the event needs of a diverse array of third-party clients in the development space. We use our in-house expertise to convert &lsquo;real-world&rsquo; events into effective virtual gatherings and create unique digital &lsquo;campuses&rsquo;.

XDI&rsquo;s analysis is underpinned by the Climate Risk Engines, developed through extensive commercial engagement with industry and government. From the outset, insights provided by the Climate Risk Engines have steered the conversation around climate change adaptation for a committed group of professionals who understood the need to find language and processes to incorporate climate risk and adaptation into decision making.
As the sophistication and power of the analysis evolved, a new understanding of more complex risks to larger businesses and governments began to emerge. Beyond individual assets, there was a need to analyse climate risk at an ecosystem level; to see the impacts of failures to power, water and transport infrastructure to people and organisations that depend on them.
In 2011 the XDI vision was born; to make possible a systems analysis of how climate risk affects not just one organisation but all of its upstream and downstream interdependencies. This is XDI, The Cross Dependency Initiative. A whole system vision of climate impacts that accounts for all physical risks, powered by a world class benchmark of computational analysis.
XDI strives for the highest quality in the information that companies and communities use to make decisions. Globally, XDI analysis ranks the highest for hazards covered, geographical reach, and capacity for analysis of large numbers of assets. It is the most rigorous analysis available and, with sophisticated online data visualisation in XDI Platform, the most flexible.&nbsp;
XDI Platform enables standard reporting to meet the needs of diverse users. &nbsp;XDI Platform&rsquo;s dynamic presentation of results is captured in a pdf document suitable for internal or external distribution, presentation to management or incorporation into wider company reporting.
From single asset adaptation through to aggregated data for a portfolio of millions of assets worldwide, XDI standard reports offer you choices regarding data that is applied, geographical spread, asset level or regional level granularity, and adaptation optioneering. All of our reports provide physical risk assessment information for eight hazards from now to 2100, and the periods in between.

We&rsquo;re Beyond Essential. We make free, open-source software tools like Tupaia and Tamanu and deliver innovative solutions in low resource and remote settings.
Beyond Essential Systems was started for a single reason &ndash; to deliver real, positive, sustainable improvements in the lives of people in some of the most challenging, low resource and remote places in the world. That is why we exist. People matter everywhere and need is all around us but we focus on low resource settings because that is where the need is greatest and that is where our expertise lies. We also want to be genuinely building up the people we work with so that one day, what we do is no longer necessary. If we leave people able to use and maintain their own systems, that is success.
We know we cannot do as much as we would like but if you bring enough special people together, you can make things a little better for others. What is a little better? It means living a little longer, getting the chance to earn a little more money. It means being a little healthier and spending a little more time with your family instead of in hospital. It means travelling and experiencing a little more of the world and living in a country that is a little fairer and a little more equitable. Most of all it means passing on a better community and world for your kids to experience and enjoy. We shouldn&rsquo;t ever fall for the lie that we can &lsquo;change the world&rsquo; &ndash; but we can help improve a small part of it. We are not a normal company and if we achieve normal things, we have failed.

ACIAR's mission is to achieve more productive and sustainable agricultural systems for the benefit of developing countries, especially their small-scale producers and agribusinesses, through international research partnerships.
We broker, facilitate, and fund research collaboration between Australian and developing country researchers, governments, civil society organisations and businesses to explore the complex social, environmental and economic challenges and opportunities associated with food systems change. Our projects are action-oriented, trialling new ways to improve food system development outcomes.
ACIAR does not undertake research directly, but enables and funds research and action organisations to work together for the benefit of our partner countries. ACIAR also deliberately invests in capacity-strengthening in both research and agricultural decision-making.
While climate change has long been a consideration across all of ACIAR's investments, at the end of 2020, ACIAR established its first-ever dedicated Climate Change Program. The Climate Change Program complements the within-sector improvements pursued in most of ACIAR's other programs by investing deliberately&nbsp; in 'systems transformation' - cross-sectoral, multi-jurisdictional land-use and production system transitions, and especially the social and institutional innovations required to pursue them. These larger changes are increasingly needed to address the more complex impacts of climate change and to take advantage of emerging opportunities through climate finance. The Program is building a portfolio of projects now, with an emphasis on Pacific Island Countries and major river deltas in Asia.

Aotearoa New Zealand supports our Pacific partners to deliver innovative solutions to climate change challenges. We recognise the need for urgent global action on climate change, to accelerate the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and to lift countries' adaptation to the impacts they are already experiencing.&nbsp; To drive this climate action, we have committed to spending NZ $1.3 billion in grant-based climate finance between 2022 and 2025. This builds on the climate-focused activities already being delivered through our International Development Cooperation programme in the Pacific, which includes innovative responses to managing disaster risk and water security, and to build ecosystem and community resilience.
Our partner-led approach aims to support increased climate resilience within our Blue Pacific Continent. Partnering in innovation - our Pacific Climate Change Programme

We, Pacific Consultants Co., Ltd.(PCKK), are going to introduce the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) and its Financial programme to demonstrate advanced decarbonizing technology innovation.
JCM is initiative by Japanses government to evaluate contributions from Japan to GHG emmision reductions or removals in a quantitive manner achieved through diffusion of decarbonizing technologies, products, systems, services, and infrastructure as well as implementation of mitigation action in developing and other coutries.&nbsp; PCKK have been supporting JCM products in Pacific island countries for 10 years as a consultant to develop new JCM projects under the contract with the Ministry of Environment, Government of Japan.
JCM Finance programme grant part of an investment cost (less than half) of the project. This is chance to the project owner in Pacific Islands to utilize the JCM Finance programme.
