Financing Ghana&rsquo;s Agriculture Programme (FinGap); where we targeted the small holder farmers, aggregators, processors and others in the rice, soy, maize value chains. Under the Fingap programme, SFP was supported to develop the agribusiness loan products (Input Finance, farmers with US$ 3,881,233 financing SFP has also partnered with Ghana Commodity Exchange to provide Warehouse Receipt Financing to the small holder farmers and other actors of the agribusiness sector SFP has so far financed receipts for maize and soya in the Sandema and Wa, Ejura and Wenchi warehouses under the partnership with GCX. Our support for farmers spans various regions in Ghana: Bono, Bono East, Upper East and West, Northern Region, Oti Region, North East and Savannah Regions.. This has enabled us to reach many districts where these small holder farmers are domiciled.&nbsp;

Tumu Co-operative Credit Union is a member own financial institution located in Tumu Sissala East Municipal assembly. Its operations covers both Sissala east and west District. It has four (4) branches namely: Gwollu, Jeffisi, Bugubelle and Tumu.

Tumu community Co-operative credit union is a member-owned financial institution that exists to provide satisfactory financial services to its members thereby reducing poverty among members. The Tumu Community Cooperative Credit Union was established in 1st July 1965 as a study group and affiliated in 25th August, 1972. In July 1998 the society was registered as Tumu Co-operative Credit Union (TUCCU). The CU has since received support from Ghana Co-operative Credit Union Association (CUA) LTD and capacity building support from Canadian Co-operative Association (CCA).&nbsp;
Since then, the union has mobilized GHS 12,652,519 in savings and GHS 3,066,412.00 in shares and granted loans to more than 4,000 members. It also offered loans to more than 2,200 women and farmers under its microfinance programme. The union has so far accumulated a reserve of GHS 2,594,428.26. Total asset mobilized stands at GHS 20,730,236.98 with no Liabilities other than the savings and shares of members.

Tumu Co-operative Credit Union(TCCU)

Summit Vision Microfinance (SVMF) is a Bank of Ghana licensed&nbsp; institution that extends financial inclusion to small holder farmer&nbsp; groups, agribusinesses and market women. SVMF has been&nbsp; serving these low income earners since 2011 and was recognized at the Vodafone SME Ghana Awards-SMEGA&rsquo;18 as the winner&nbsp; under the Service Sector-Financial Institution category for impact&nbsp; in the microfinance industry. SVMF is a Partner Financial Institution of Mennonite Economic&nbsp; Associates of Canada (MEDA) under their Farmers Economic&nbsp; Advancement Through Seedlings (FEATS) Project. The project has&nbsp; 10 cashew nursery operators (agribusinesses) and 10&nbsp; cooperatives with over 25,000 cashew small holder farmers who&nbsp; are beneficiaries of the 50% seedlings price subsidy. SVMF has&nbsp; being extending financial inclusion services to 7,000 beneficiary&nbsp; farmers under the project. Members of the small holder farmer&nbsp; cooperatives are also into crops that have short harvesting time&nbsp; like grains (maize and rice), groundnuts and vegetables (pepper&nbsp; and tomatoes). The farmers are using portion of their income&nbsp; from sales of these short cycle crops to maintain their farms and&nbsp; wait till the 4th and 5th year to start getting income from their&nbsp; cashew orchards. SVMF has been granting loans to the nursery&nbsp; operators and also members of the cooperatives. In the year 2019 and 2020 about 500 hundred rice farmers&nbsp; accessed credit facility under the rice input financing&nbsp; arrangement. In the year 2021 a little over 1,200 rice farmers&nbsp; have been granted input credit facility in Offinso North DistrictAshanti Region, Tepa and Hwidiem- Ahafo Region as well as&nbsp; Juaboso- Western North Region. SVMF has been selected as a Partner Financial Institution of&nbsp; USAID&rsquo;s Mobilizing Finance in Agriculture by which an estimated&nbsp; number of 3,000 small holder farmers, mostly in the Northern&nbsp; part of Ghana producing maize are going to have access to&nbsp; financial services
SVMFS is also a Partner Financial Institution of the Ghana&nbsp; Commodity Exchange Limited through which small holder farmer&nbsp; customers can trade their produce without a middleman on the&nbsp; Exchange platform.&nbsp; We desire to reduce the high risk associated with extending loans o small holder farmers and have seen that reducing the cost of&nbsp; their operations via SMART Agriculture, ranging from soil testing&nbsp; to post harvest management.&nbsp;

RDF Ghana LBG (&ldquo;RDF&rdquo;), a rural development fund, was birthed out of DANIDA&rsquo;s desire to&nbsp; institutionalise a development finance organisation that will outlive Denmark&rsquo;s transition from aid&nbsp; to trade in Ghana by 2020.&nbsp; Incorporated as a company limited by guarantee, RDF ploughs back its earnings to continuously&nbsp; support access to finance while incentivising a reduction in the cost of finance amongst financial&nbsp; institutions to the benefits of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) engaged in&nbsp; agriculture and renewable energy. Its mission is to sustainably promote rural development through the growth of MSMEs in the&nbsp; Agricultural and Renewable Energy sectors in Ghana by enhancing access to finance and&nbsp; improving the capacity of MSMEs and partners, complementing its vision to be a recognized&nbsp; development finance institution, dedicated to promoting the sustainable growth of MSMEs in the&nbsp; Agricultural and Renewable Energy sectors in Ghana The members (owners) of the RDF are the Government of Ghana represented by the Ministry of&nbsp; Finance https://www.mofep.gov.gh/ and the government of Denmark represented by the&nbsp; Danish Investment Fund for Developing Countries (IFU) https://www.ifu.dk/en/about-ifu/. The Company has been mandated to be sustainable and grow in size, as such, operates as a going&nbsp; concern and not a project. As impact investors, RDF&rsquo;s primary interest is to contribute towards&nbsp; improving the businesses and livelihoods of its beneficiaries as well as impacting rural and&nbsp; agricultural development in Ghana. To achieve its mandate, RDF provides the following products:&nbsp; 1. Lines of Credit in the form of working capital, asset finance and subordinated loans to both&nbsp; Financial Institutions and Small and Medium Enterprises&nbsp; 2. Credit Guarantee of a 50% (principal only) loss cover against non-performing loans&nbsp; 3. Technical Assistance to both Participating Financial Institutions and MSMEs on skills and&nbsp; technologies needed to make profitable use of our Line of Credits and Credit Guarantees.&nbsp; RDF invests across the agricultural sector and value chains with preference for investments in&nbsp; women-owned agric enterprises.&nbsp;

We build bridges between West African entrepreneurs and global impact investors and provide pre- and post-investment support to early-stage enterprise, with a focus on agribusiness and energy ventures. This transformation from subsistence agriculture to productive, profitable, innovative sector will improve food security while driving economic and job growth.
